SDIE

SDIE (Sustainability Development Innovation Europe) is a European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) established under Regulation No 2137/85 of the Council. SDIE is constituted of four companies of 3 Member States (Italy, Belgium and Romania) and was established in 2008 in Brussels where its head office is based. This choice was made following the principle of “mutual reinforcement of skills” of companies concerned with the aim of enhancing goals and capacities on a European scale. SDIE's goal is to integrate environmental concerns with the public policies, so as to reduce environmental risks, improve management of natural resources, enhance the environmental image of public and private bodies, raise awareness of citizens and enterprises in order to improve the quality of life, health and the environment. The fields of activity entailed by SDIE are the following :
- Training on issues concerning sustainable development;
- Corporate social responsibility;
- Environmental impact assessment of plans and programmes;
- Industrial ecology;
- Environmental management systems;
- Plans for local sustainable development.
